Serving your family at its most difficult time has been a tradition with the Biondi family since 1941. At that time, Alfred A. Biondi and his wife Anna founded the Biondi Funeral Home in the Ironbound section of Newark, New Jersey. 

Unfortunately, Anna Biondi became ill and passed away in 1952 at the young age of 37. Alfred Biondi, together with his son, Anthony Sr. continued to operate the funeral home until Alfred Biondi’s untimely death in 1963. 

In 1968, Anthony A. Biondi Sr. and his wife, Mickey, opened the Biondi Funeral Home of Nutley at 540 Franklin Avenue. The Newark funeral home closed in 1974 when the businesses were consolidated at the Nutley location. 

As the years passed, and the need for our services in the community increased, the building was completely remodeled and redecorated. Additional parking was added, as well as parking attendants in order to continue giving the highest quality service possible to Nutley and the surrounding areas. 

Anthony A. Biondi Jr. became licensed in 1988 and is the manager with the family-owned and operated business. 

Biondi Funeral Home of Nutley brings a strong presence to the community, and has always been sought out by families for its fine facility and attentive and compassionate service. As always, we stand committed to not only our families, but also to local community involvement.
