Robert Lawrence Dann, husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, of Hobe Sound, FL., passed away peacefully on August 8, 2017, surrounded by his loving family at the age of 84.
He was born August 12, 1932 in Newark, NJ. the son of the late Bernard and Edna Dann.   Bob was raised in Bloomfield where he graduated Bloomfield High School in 1950. 
Bob served honorably in the US Army during the Korean War.   Upon his return from service, he joined the UA Plumbers Local 24 of NJ.  He worked as a foreman for the local for 40 years before his retirement in 1990.
 
Bob and his wife Marion were married on August 27, 1955.  They raised their five children in Rockaway Township and Bedminster, NJ.  Bob was an avid golfer and a member of the Hole-in-One Club.  He especially enjoyed playing with his son, sons-in-law, grandsons and nephews.  While not on the golf course, Bob enjoyed watching all other sports, in particular the NY Yankees and NY Giants.  Bob passed on his love of music to his children who are continuing the tradition with their children. 
 
A loving husband and father, he is survived by his wife of 61 years Marion (nee Guider); five children, Susan Kita and her husband, Richard, Maureen Jacobs and her husband Robert, Linda Dann, Robert and his wife, Susan Kramer Dann, and Ellenette Tindall and her husband Andrew.  Also surviving are 6 grandchildren, Judy, Thomas and Stephanie Kita, Nicole Jacobs, James and Liam Tindall and 3 great grandchildren, Corbin, Ellenette and Harper Kita.

Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to the Biondi Funeral Home (www.biondifuneralhome.com) 540 N. Franklin Ave., Nutley, NJ 07110.   Visitation on Sunday, 8/13/17 from 2-6 PM.  Funeral Mass St. Mary's RC Church on Monday, 8/14/17 at 9:30 AM).  Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ.
