Mr. William M. Walsh, Sr., 79, of Belleville, NJ, passed away on Monday, February 25, 2019.  The funeral will be conducted from the Biondi Funeral Home of Nutley, 540 Franklin Avenue on Saturday, March 2 at 8:30 a.m.  There will be a Funeral Mass celebrated at Holy Family Church, Nutley at 9:30 a.m.  The interment will be at Glendale Cemetery, Bloomfield with military honors.   Visitation will be on Friday, March 1 from 4:00 –8:00 p.m.     

Mr. Walsh was born in Newark, NJ and resided in Belleville for the past 53 years.  He was a Human Resource Manager for Prudential Insurance Company, Newark for 38 years before retiring.  Mr. Walsh served in the U.S. Army as a military police officer from 1958 and was honorably discharged in 1964.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Roseann (nee Dorio) Walsh; his devoted children William M. "Billy" Walsh, Jr.  Jeffrey T. Walsh and his wife Lynn and Mark J. Walsh and his wife Denise; and also his cherished grandchildren Brittany, Caitlin, Victoria, Gianna and Isabella, and loving sister-in-law Joan Dorio and Marty.
