Beloved Mother, Grandmother and Sister, 91

Mrs. Vivian (nee Castorina) Palmisano, 91, of Boonton, NJ passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 8 2023.  Visitation will be at the Biondi Funeral Home of Nutley, 540 Franklin Avenue on Friday, June 23, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 p.m.  The funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Saturday, June 24 at 8:30 a.m.  There will be a funeral mass celebrated at Holy Family Church, 28 Brookline Avenue, Nutley at 9:30 a.m.  The interment will be at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, 712 Grove Street, Montclair.

Vivian was born and raised in New York City before moving to Newark, NJ after getting married.  In 1961, Vivian and her husband Tony moved to Nutley, NJ where they raised their family, then moved to Toms River in 1998.  In 2020, Vivian moved to Victoria Mews in Boonton to be closer to her family.  She was a loving wife and mother to her family.  Her greatest joys were traveling, cooking and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her beloved sons Steven Palmisano and his wife Donna, and Anthony Palmisano, Jr. and his wife Teresa; her cherished grandchildren Megan, Dana, Alexander and Sofia; and her loving siblings Salvatore Castorina and his wife Angela, and Connie D’Erasmo.  She is also survived by her many loving nieces and nephews.  

Vivian is predeceased by her husband Tony Palmisano (2014), her son John Palmisano (1964), her brother Mario Castorina.
