Beloved Father and Grandfather, 97

Mr. Vito “Vic” A. Spino of Bloomfield, NJ, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, July 30, 2021 surrounded by the love of his two daughters, granddaughter and grandson, at the age of 97.  Visitation will be at the Biondi Funeral Home of Nutley, 540 Franklin Avenue on Wednesday, August 4 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.  The funeral will be conducted on Thursday, August 5 at 9:45 a.m.  There will be a funeral mass celebrated at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 63 Franklin Street, Belleville at 11:00 a.m.  The entombment will be at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, North Arlington with military honors.

Vito was born in Newark, NJ and was a lifelong resident of Bloomfield.  He was a School Crossing Guard on Dodd Street in Bloomfield for over 15 years before retiring.  Previously he was employed as a Machinist by Worthington Pump in Harrison for over 45 years.  In 1951, he married the love of his life and best friend Clementine, and they were married for 65 years.  Vito served his country proudly in the United States Army as a Military Policeman during World War II.  During the last few years of his life, Vito cherished his time with his children and grandchildren, and enjoyed spending days at the shore.

Vito is survived by his devoted children Toni El-Boghdedy and her husband, Khaled, and Kim Perez and her husband Luis; and also his loving grandchildren Amira, Alex and Andrew.  Vito will be forever remembered for his sense of humor, charisma and undeniable charm by his family, adopted grandchildren (Bassem, Jaclyn and many more), extended family members and close friends.

He is predeceased by his wife Clementine “Dina” (nee Aromando) Spino (2016), his parents Emilio and Frances Spino, and his siblings.
