Beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother, 93


Mrs. Virginia (nee` Gaeta) Ranucci, 93, of Belleville, passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Visitation will be at the Biondi Funeral Home of Nutley, 540 Franklin Avenue on Tuesday, May 24 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  The funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Wednesday, May 25 at 9:15 a.m.  There will be a funeral mass celebrated at Holy Family Church, 28 Brookline Avenue, Nutley, at 10:30 a.m.  The interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery,  340 Ridge Road, North Arlington.


Mrs. Ranucci was born in New York City and resided in Belleville for over 60 years.  She was a loving homemaker to her family.  Her pride and joy was spending time with her family.


She is survived by her beloved children Patricia Sorce and her husband James, and Julie Scarano and her husband Joseph; her cherished grandchildren Stephanie Melilli and her husband Christopher, Nicole Sorce, Gina Sorce, Kimberly Arpaia and her husband Angelo; and her precious great-grandson Christopher John Melilli. 


Mrs. Ranucci is predeceased by her husband Anthony Ranucci (1998), her brother Raymond Gaeta, and her sisters Carmela Passante and Rose Lyddan.
