 Beloved Mother, Sister, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother, 85

Private funeral services were held for Mrs. Veronica C. (nee Starnes) Poole, 85, of Nutley, NJ, who passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2020.   

Veronica was born and raised in Jersey City, NJ, and resided in Nutley since1968.  She was a Bookkeeper for Caldwell Plumbing & Heating, in Caldwell for over 20 years before retiring.   Veronica enjoyed bingo and trips to Atlantic City with her friends and family.  She was a devout Christian who loved being a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is survived by her beloved children Joseph Poole, Laura Reid and her husband Thomas, John Poole and his wife Karen, James Poole and his wife Dana, and Dell Poole; her loving siblings William Starnes, Alice Nester, Genevieve Kane and Teresa Coogan; her cherished grandchildren Thomas, James, Samantha, Matthew, Tiffany, Julian, Aidan and Marissa, and her precious great-grandchildren Anthony & Samantha.  She is also survived by her many loving nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Poole is predeceased by her parents John and Veronica (nee Hopf) Starnes, her brother John Starnes, and her sisters Ann O’Neill, Mary Frick, Dolores Ricotta and Cecelia Gogan.
