Beloved Husband, Father and Grandfather, 79

Mr. Thomas S. Plinio, 79, of Nutley, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at Clara Maass Medical Center, Belleville.  Visitation will be at the Biondi Funeral Home of Nutley, 540 Franklin Avenue on Wednesday, June 23 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.  There will be a funeral service celebrated at 3:30 p.m., Pastor Audrey of Grace Episcopal Church officiating.  The cremation will be held privately.

Mr. Plinio was born in Newark, NJ and was a lifelong Nutley resident.  He was a purchasing agent for Hoffman La Roche, Nutley for 50 years before retiring.  Mr. Plinio served his country proudly in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam era.  He was a member of the Nutley Elks #1290, and was also active with the Nutley Jaycees.  Mr. Plinio was an avid New York Yankee fan.      

He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years Lois (nee Kolesar) Plinio; his devoted children Ken Plinio and his wife Jennifer, and Nancy Portas and her husband Michael; and his cherished grandchildren Andrew Portas, Danny Portas and Michael Portas.
