Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Great- Grandfather 83

Mr. Stephen J. Madison, 83 of Toms River, NJ, formerly of Newark and Belleville passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at his home with his loving wife and three beautiful daughters by his side.  Visitation will be at the Biondi Funeral Home of Nutley, 540 Franklin Avenue on Monday, October 23, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  The funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Tuesday, October 24 at 9:45 a.m.  There will be a funeral mass celebrated at St Lucy’s Church, 118 – 7th Avenue, Newark at 10:45 a.m. The interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, 340 Ridge Road, North Arlington.

Stephen was born in Glen Ridge, NJ, and resided in Newark and  Belleville for many years before moving to Toms River 11 years ago.  He enjoyed learning and obtained his bachelor's degree at 75. He researched genealogy to create connections with members of his extended family tree. He maintained an online business and had years of experience as a jeweler. Most importantly, Stephen loved spending time with his family.    

He is survived by his loving wife of sixty-five years Angelina (nee Petretta) Madison; his three beautiful daughters; Stephanie Sceppaguercio and her husband Pat, Lisa Pace and her husband Vincent and Janice Madison; his dearest grandchildren Jenniferlee, Elise Terre and her husband Mervin, Vienna, Alyssa, and  Angelo; his cherished great-grandsons Jonathan and Travis; his siblings Ricky Madison, Frankie Madison, and Joyce Cundari he is also survived by his many loving nieces and nephews.

Stephen is predeceased by his parents Jack Madison and Carmela (nee Mangine) Madison, and his siblings Bobby Madison, John Madison, and Ann Gann
