Stephen P. Bologna

Beloved Husband, Father, Son and Brother, 61

Mr. Stephen P. Bologna, 61, of Belleville, NJ, passed away on Friday, February 16, 2024 at Beth Israel Medical Center, Newark.  Visitation will be at the Biondi Funeral Home of Nutley, 540 Franklin Avenue, on Sunday, February 25 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.  There will be a funeral service celebrated at the funeral home on Monday, February 26 at 10:00 a.m.  The interment to follow at Glendale Cemetery, 28 Hoover Avenue, Bloomfield.

Stephen was born in Jersey City and was raised in Belleville, NJ.  He was a proud graduate of the Belleville High School Class of 1981. Stephen was employed by Apple Coring & Sawing Co. in Kenilworth as a Heavy Machine Operator for the past 15 years.  He was a diehard Washington Redskin and New York Yankee fan.

Stephen’s favorite holiday was Christmas.  He loved decorating his Christmas tree, and he collected vintage ornaments. Stephen looked forward each year for all of his relatives and friends to come to the house to see the Christmas tree.  His greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially cruising to Bermuda.  He looked forward to his yearly road trip with his son to watch the Washington Redskins play.  In his free time, he loved to binge-watch the Sopranos, Married with Children and All in the Family.  He dedicated himself to the gym daily.  Most importantly Stephen cherished spending time at his favorite place - the Colonial Diner in Lyndhurst, with the love of his life, his wife Danielle, every Friday night and sometimes on Saturday.

He is survived by beloved wife of 27 years Danielle (nee Ambrosino) Bologna; his devoted children Adrianna Ambrosino and Stephen Bologna; his loving mother Patricia (nee Nicoli) Bologna; his dear brother Frank R. Bologna, Jr. and his wife Mary; and his dear goddaughter Brittany Bologna.  He is also survived by his many loving nieces and nephews.

Stephen is predeceased by his father Frank R. Bologna, Sr. (2004), and his nephew Dean Caracciola (2019).
