Ruth Trible
December 9, 1929 - May 5, 2021
Ruth Trible, 91, of Nutley, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by the love of her daughter-in-law, Tammi and granddaughter, Ashley. There will be a funeral service celebrated at the Biondi Funeral Home of Nutley, 540 Franklin Avenue on Monday, May 10 at 11:00 a.m., Pastor Pam Bakal officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until time of service.
Ruth was born in Hawthorne, New Jersey. She grew up in Newark and then resided in Nutley for over 50 years.
Ruth was employed by Hoffmann-La Roche, Nutley in the mailing department for 7 years before being employed as a Book Binder for Horowitz Bookbinding Company, Fairfield for 22 years before retiring.
As winter would come to an end and spring would approach, Ruthie would grow eager for the summertime sunshine. She enjoyed soaking up the sun on the front porch with her neighborhood best friends, Jennie Laferriere and Nina Klinger. All of our neighbors enjoyed stopping by the front porch to chat with Ruthie. She welcomed everyone with open arms and truly appreciated a good conversation. Even the neighborhood dogs would run up on the porch for a belly rub from Ruthie. Our porch was filled with life, laughter, and friendship. Ruthie was known as the neighborhood watch; the grandmother of the block. She found joy in feeding the birds. She loved looking at the beautiful flowers and watching the delicate butterflies fly by. She belonged to the Belleville Seniors Wednesday Club and the Nutley Seniors Tuesday Club. Ruthie was known for her profound love of her sons, Dominick and Wayne, her grandchildren, Ashley, Louis lll, Dominick, Drue and her great grandchild, Louis Anthony lV. Ruthie adored our family dog, Rocky. One of her favorite pastimes was wrapping Rocky up in a blanket and watching TV with him. Rocky could always count on his pal, Ruthie, sneaking him some of her leftovers. Ruthie enjoyed her nightly bowl of ice cream while watching Family Feud. Thus, reminding us that it’s the little things in life that bring us joy and contentment. Ruthie always looked forward to her great-grandson, Louis, running into her bedroom every morning to greet her with a smile and baby babbles. We will miss you Ruthie, until we meet again, you’ll be in our hearts.
She is survived by her beloved daughter-in-law Tammi Trible; her loving son Dominick Trible and his wife Betsy; her cherished grandchildren Ashley, Louis III, Dominick, & Drue; her precious great-grandson Louis Anthony lV. She is also survived by her many loving nieces and nephews.
Ruth is predeceased by her parents John and Rose Kuhn, her son Wayne Trible, the late Joseph Burak, and her brothers and sisters: Frank Kuhn, Doris Miles, Elizabeth Journey, Rosemarie Hack, Viola Lutz, Kate Scheck, Joe Strauch, Ann Angelicola and Julia Valkenburg.
