Beloved Mother, Grandmother, and Aunt, 94

Mrs. Rose F. (nee Marchese) Carolla, 94, of Nutley, formerly of Belleville, NJ, passed away on All Saints Day, November 1, 2021, surrounded by her loving family.  Visitation will be at the Biondi Funeral Home of Nutley, 540 Franklin Avenue on Thursday, November 4 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  The funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Friday, November 5 at 9:15 a.m.  There will be a funeral mass celebrated at Holy Family Church, 28 Brookline Avenue, Nutley at 10:30 a.m.  The entombment will be at Glendale Chapel Mausoleum, 28 Hoover Ave, Bloomfield.

She was born in Newark, NJ and resided in Belleville for many years before moving to Nutley three years ago.  Mrs. Carolla would have celebrated her 95th birthday on Sunday, November 7th with her four loving daughters, her cherished grandchildren, step-grandchildren and her loving extended family.  Mrs. Carolla had a passion for cooking and baking for her family, and also loved playing the lottery with her son-in-law Ross, who was her lottery buddy.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her beloved daughters Deborah Witkowski and her husband David, Andrea Hoban and her husband Gerard, Joanne Nadzan and her husband Dennis and Patricia Vocaturo and her husband Ross; her cherished grandchildren Lindsay and Gerard Hoban and Deanna Nadzan; her caring step-grandchildren Melissa DeLorenzo and Michelle Conforti; her loving step-great- grandchildren Justin and Jase DeLorenzo; and also her dear nephews Steven and Robert Yanuzzi.  

Mrs. Carolla was predeceased by her beloved husband Anthony P. Carolla (May 26, 2007); her parents Dominic and Frances Marchese; and her siblings Vincent Marchese Marie Muller, Josephine Marchese, and Theresa Yanuzzi.
