Beloved Mother, Sister and Aunt, 83

Mrs. Rosalind (nee Vitiello) Scalercio, 83, of Bloomfield, NJ, passed away on Monday, November 21, 2022 at Clara Maass Medical Center, Belleville. Visitation will be at the Biondi Funeral Home of Nutley, 540 Franklin Avenue on Monday, November 28 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.  The funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Tuesday, November 29 at 9:15 a.m.  There will be a funeral mass celebrated at the Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart. 89 Ridge Street, Newark at 10:30 a.m.  The interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, 340 Ridge Road, North Arlington.

Mrs. Scalercio was born in Newark, NJ where she resided before moving to Bloomfield 13 years ago.  She was a graduate of Newark’s Central High School.  Mrs. Scalercio was employed by Prudential Insurance Co. in Newark as an Executive Secretary for 15 years before retiring.  She was the most loving and caring mother whose greatest joy was spending time with her family.  Mrs. Scalercio was kind and generous to all and will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her beloved daughter Michele Palmieri and her husband Frank; her loving sister Carole Falzarano and her husband Pat; her dear nieces Diana Roach and Marlene Palermo; and also her many loving great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and close friends. 

Mrs. Scalercio is predeceased by her husband Michael C. Scalercio, her parents Ralph and Esther (nee Colamarino) Vitiello, and her brother Ralph Vitiello, Jr.
