Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great-Grandfather, 74

Ricardo Rivera Albarran, 74 of East Orange, NJ, entered into eternal life on September 20, 2022 at his residence.  Born in Utuado, Puerto Rico, on December 31, 1947, he lived in East Orange. He was a retired Greenkeeper for the Forest Hill Field Club in Bloomfield, NJ. 

He is the beloved husband of Rosa Cepeda Rivera, cherished father of Karina (Joshua) DiCristina , Evelyn Carrillo, Julio (Glenny) Carrillo, Jose (Elva) Cepeda, Ricardo (Noris) Cepeda & Ixia M. Rivera, proud and loving grandfather of Christopher Silfa, Stephanie Garcia, Omar Andriquis, Andrew Saravia, Xavier Carrillo, Karina A. Carrilo, Joel Cepeda, Jared Cepeda, Christian Cepeda, Daniel Cepeda, Sabrina Oakes, Irving D. Rivera & Anthony Carrillo. Ricardo is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren. 

Aside from his love for Fishing, he enjoyed music - especially Puerto Rican folklore with the Cuatro guitar; which he played for hours every New Year's Eve for his birthday. His love for celebrating and dancing was grand but spending time with his family were moments that he treasured the most. A strong and kind man; always willing to help those in need, whether that was helping the poor in other countries or being there for his family; there were no limits for him wanting to help others throughout his entire lifetime. He will be missed by many as he was loved by all he encountered. 

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2022 at the Biondi Funeral Home, 540 Franklin Avenue, Nutley from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.   A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday morning at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter’s Church, Belleville.  Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
