Beloved Husband, Father, and Grandfather, 79

Mr. Renato T. Martin, 79, of Bloomfield, formerly of Belleville passed away on January 3, 2022, at St. Mary’s General Hospital, Passaic.  Visitation will be at the Biondi Funeral Home of Nutley, 540 Franklin Avenue on Friday, January 7 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.  The funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Saturday, January 8 at 8:30 a.m.  There will be a funeral mass celebrated at Holy Family Church, 28 Brookline Avenue, Nutley at 9:30 a.m.  The interment will at Glendale Cemetery, 28 Hoover Avenue, Bloomfield.

Mr. Martin was born in Cabanatuan City, Philippines where he resided until emigrating to the United States where he proudly joined the United States Navy serving seven years during the Vietnam War.  He then returned to the Philippines where he resided until 1990 before returning to Belleville, NJ, and then moving to Bloomfield in 2000.  Mr. Martin was employed as a Jeweler in New York City for many years before retiring.  

Mr. Martin is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years Erlina (nee Mateo) Martin; his loving children Troy Martin and his wife Maria Dei, Sheila Martin and her husband Martin Scirica, Ceres Martin, and Brixtro Martin and his wife Cristina; and also his cherished grandchildren Shiela, Patrick, Kendelle, Kaylynne, John and Sarah.

Mr. Martin is predeceased by his parents Macario and Juana (nee Tinio) Martin; and also his three brothers and one sister.
