Beloved Father, Grandfather, and Great-Grandfather, 87
Mr. Philip A.Tusa, 87, of Nutley, NJ, passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2019 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Visitation will be at the Biondi Funeral Home of Nutley, 540 Franklin Avenue on Sunday, January 5 from 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. The funeral will be conducted on Monday, January 6 at 9:15 a.m. There will be a funeral mass celebrated at St. Mary’s Church, Nutley at 10:45 a.m.
Mr. Tusa was born in Brooklyn, NY before moving to Nutley in 1965. He was a Korean War Navy Veteran. He worked as a design engineer for Mosler Corporation in Wayne, for many years and then he enjoyed his post career employment at the Home Depot in Clifton. He was a CCD teacher at St. Mary’s Church, Nutley, for many years and a Eucharistic Minister.
He is survived by his beloved children Jo-Ann Zummo and her husband Len, Loretta Van Etten, Ellen Arrigoni and her husband Tom, Carolyn Hacker and her husband Sandy, Gerard Tusa and his wife Andria, Peter Tusa and his wife Lisa, and Philip M. Tusa and his fiancée Jill; his 15 cherished grandchildren; his precious great-granddaughter and also his many loving nieces and nephews.
Mr. Tusa is predeceased by his first wife Marie F. (nee Re) Tusa and his second wife Ann J. (nee Foley) Tusa (April 19, 2019), his sister Sarina Teta and his son-in-law John Van Etten.
