Beloved Wife, Mother, Sister, and Grandmother, 74

Mrs. Mimma (nee Gagliardi) Corrao, 74, of Bloomfield, NJ, passed away on Monday, September 4, 2023.  Visitation will be at the Biondi Funeral Home of Nutley, 540 Franklin Avenue on Thursday, September 7 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  The funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Friday, September 8 at 8:30 a.m.  There will be a funeral mass celebrated at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 60 Byrd Avenue, Bloomfield at 9:30 a.m.  The entombment will be at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, 340 Ridge Road, North Arlington.

Mrs. Corrao was born in Palermo, Sicily, Italy and emigrated to Newark in 1968 before moving to Bloomfield 26 years ago.  Mimma loved cooking and socializing with her friends. She enjoyed shopping with her daughters and grandchildren.  Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 55 years Pietro Corrao; her loving daughters Cinzia and her husband Jimmy O’Neill, Patrizia and her husband Keith Kmetz, Maurizia and her husband Ian Fryer; her cherished grandchildren Sabina and her husband Roman Diduch, Martina Kmetz, Christopher and Peter Fryer.  She is also survived by her three brothers, four sisters and many loving nieces and nephews in Palermo, Sicily.

Mimma is predeceased by her parents Antonino and Antonina (nee Lombardo) Gagliardi.
