Beloved Father and Grandfather, 94

Private funeral services will be held for Michael A. Torrese, 94, of Nutley who passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 18, 2021 at the Colonial Manor at Panther Valley, Hackettstown.

Michael was born in Newark, and has resided in Nutley since 1956. Michael proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II. He graduated in 1952 from Rutgers University, Newark with a Bachelors Degree. He then worked as an Industrial Chemical Salesman for Morton’s Salt Company in Perth Amboy, NJ, for thirty years before retiring in 1993. Michael was also an active parishioner at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Bloomfield for many years

He is survived by his beloved children Michael Torrese and his wife Lori and Lisa Desordi and her husband John and also his cherished grandchildren Danielle, Michelle, Thomas Torrese and John Desordi.

Michael is predeceased by his cherished wife Antoinette (nee Cecere) Torrese, his parents Michael Torrese and Elena (nee Dilorenzo) Torrese and his dear sister Marie Bianchi.
