Maryann Della Meo, 71, of Belleville, NJ, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at her home. Visitation will be at the Biondi Funeral Home of Nutley, 540 Franklin Avenue on Thursday, February 8 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on
Friday February 9 at 9:30 A.M. There will be a funeral mass celebrated at Holy Family Church, 28 Brookline Avenue, Nutley at 10:30 a.m. The interment will be at Glendale Cemetery, 28 Hoover Avenue, Bloomfield.
Maryann was born in Newark, NJ, and resided in Belleville since the age of ten. She was a caring, enthusiastic licensed practical nurse and a lover of animals. She shared a special bond and love for her mother, Josephine, who predeceased her by only one month. Maryann was a devoted animal lover and always had a cat by her side. She adopted many shelter cats over the years, giving them a loving home and a happy life.
Maryann was employed as a licensed practical nurse at the Circle of Life Adult Medical Day Care, where she demonstrated care and compassion in her work. She received her LPN training from Holy Name Hospital and was immensely proud of her profession. She touched many lives with her kindness and generosity. Previously she worked at the Internal Revenue Service and Western Electric.
Maryann cherished her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her sister, Louise J. Meo; her nephew Dr. Alexander Meo Borg; her niece Vanessa Meo Borg; and her brother-in-law Andrew D. Borg, Esq.
She is predeceased by her parents Louis Vincent Meo (April 15, 1994) and Josephine (nee` Prignano) Meo (December 6, 2023).
