Beloved Wife, Mother and Nanni, 63
Mrs. Mary Anne Perrotta-Blasi, 63, of Bronx, NY, formerly of Clifton and Paterson, NJ, passed away on Saturday, September 4, 2021 after a long illness surrounded by her loving family. Visitation will be at the Biondi Funeral Home of Nutley, 540 Franklin Avenue on Friday, September 10 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The funeral will be conducted on Saturday, September 11 at 9:45 a.m. There will be a funeral mass celebrated at Holy Family Church, 28 Brookline Avenue, Nutley at 11:00 a.m. The cremation will be held privately.
Mary Anne was born in Paterson, NJ and was a longtime resident of Clifton, NJ before moving to Bronx, NY five years ago. She was a 34 year employee of the Paterson Public Schools, all at John F. Kennedy High School, culminating in her 2011 appointment as Principal of the School of Education and Training. She was a proud alumna of the Lacordaire Academy, Montclair, and The Convent of the Sacred Heart High School, New York City. She earned a Bachelors of History Degree from Manhattanville College, and a Masters of Science Degree in Education +30 from Fordham University. Mary Anne was a lifetime member of the Paterson Education Association, and proud patron of the Father English Center, Paterson.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 30 years Gerardo Blasi; her devoted son Alexander Salta and his wife Maria Perillo; her precious grandson Anthony James Salta; her dear sisters-in-law Linda Russomanno and her husband Frank, and Carmen Blasi and his fiancé` Donna Benavente; her loving nieces Kimberly and Michele Russomanno; her precious great-niece Gianna Kula; her dear Trancredi and Perrotta cousins to whom she was a dedicated “sister”; and her loving aunt Betty Perrotta.
Mary Anne was predeceased by her parents James and Mildred (nee Tancredi) Perrotta, and her Godmother Anne Tancredi Carrera.
