Beloved Husband, and Father 64

Mr. Mark C. Soter, 64, of Bloomfield, NJ, formerly of Hawthorne passed away on Tuesday, August 22, 2023.  Visitation will be at the Biondi Funeral Home of Nutley, 540 Franklin Avenue, on Sunday, August 27, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.  The funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Monday, August 28 at 8:45 a.m. There will be a funeral mass celebrated at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 60 Byrd Avenue, Bloomfield at 10:00 a.m.  The interment will be at Christ the King Cemetery, 980 Huron Road, Franklin Lakes, NJ 07417.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend the interment at Christ the King Cemetery either in procession or meet the procession at the cemetery office following the funeral mass.

Mark was born in Paterson, NJ and resided in Hawthorne before moving to Bloomfield 31 years ago. He was a proud graduate of William Paterson University with a B.A in communications. He was employed as a store manager at Macy’s in Wayne NJ for many years, and most recently was employed in the same capacity at Big Lots in Freehold. Mark was an avid music and movie fan, with a special love for the “Beatles.” He also enjoyed spending time with his loving family.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 32 years Ann Marie (nee Wilson) Soter; his cherished children Jaclyn and Daniel Soter; his sister-in-law Noreen Lennox and her husband Keith; his brother-in-law Bill Wilson and his wife Laura; he is also survived by his loving niece, nephews and cousins.

Mark is predeceased by his parents Arthur and Patricia (nee Mazzarone) Soter.
