Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Sister, 71

Mrs. Marie J. (nee DeMartino) DeLorenzi, 71 of Nutley, NJ, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 29, 2023.  Visitation will be at the Biondi Funeral Home of Nutley, 540 Franklin Avenue, on Tuesday, August 1, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  The funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Wednesday, August 2 at 8:30 a.m.  There will be a funeral mass celebrated at Holy Family Church, 28 Brookline Avenue, Nutley at 9:30 a.m.  The entombment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery Chapel Mausoleum, 340 Ridge Road, North Arlington.

Marie was born in Newark, NJ and resided in Nutley for over 40 years.  She was a secretary for the Community School of Nutley at St. Paul’s Congregational Church for 30 years before retiring.  Marie was a graduate of St. Peter’s College, Jersey City. 

Marie taught catechism at Holy Family Church, and was also a Eucharistic Minister for many years.  She was a member of the Woman’s Auxiliary, Nutley Elks Lodge #1290, and was active in many Nutley organizations attending many Nutley functions, especially for the Elks.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 46 years, Charles DeLorenzi; her devoted son Raymond DeLorenzi and his wife Arianna; her cherished grandchildren Leo and Ethan; and her sister Patricia LaPolla.  She is also survived by her many loving nieces, nephews and friends.

Marie is predeceased by her son Gregory DeLorenzi (2015), her parents Patsy and Margaret (nee DiFazio) DeMartino, and her brother Frances DeMartino.
