Beloved Wife, Mother, Sister and Aunt, 60

Mrs. Maria (nee Biagini) Pereira, 60, of Barnegat, NJ, passed away on Thursday, June 9, 2022 at the Hackensack University Medical Center. Visitation will be at the Biondi Funeral Home of Nutley, 540 Franklin Avenue on Tuesday, June 14 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.  The funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Wednesday, June 15 at 9:30 a.m.  There will be a funeral mass celebrated at St. Lucy’s Church, 118 – 7th Avenue, Newark at 10:45 a.m.  The cremation will be held privately.

Mrs. Pereira was born in Newark, NJ and resided in Barnegat, NJ for the past 17 years.  She was a Substitute Teacher in the Barnegat School System.  Maria earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Montclair State University and an Elementary Education degree from Stockton University.  She was a former Barnegat Board of Education Member, and was also a member of the John Edward’s Evolve Community.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 28 years Antonio Pereira; her devoted daughters Jessica Pereira and Daniella Pereira; her dear sisters Patricia Lopreato and Gina Ilaria; and also her loving nieces and nephew Michele, Matthew and Janene.

Maria is predeceased by her parents Gene and Jessie (nee Chiaravallo) Biagini.
