 Beloved Mother, Sister, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother, 85

Mrs. Lucy (nee Nobile) Alicea, 85, of Newton, NJ, formerly of Newark, passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at the Barn Hill Care Center, Newton. There will be a funeral service celebrated at the Biondi Funeral Home of Nutley, 540 Franklin Avenue on Saturday, January 16 at 12:00 p.m.  Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of service.  The interment will be at Hollywood Memorial Park, Union.

Mrs. Alicea was born in Newark, NJ and resided in Newton, NJ.  She was employed as a Seamstress by the Josephine Del Guercio Sewing Factory, Newark for 20 years before retiring.

She is survived by her beloved children Marguerite Cianci and her husband Mark, and Marietta Sommer and her husband Daniel; her loving sister Geraldine Delli Santi; her cherished grandchildren Jacqueline Medeiros and her husband Anthony, Danielle Cianci and Kevin and Joseph Sommer; and also her precious great-grandson Anthony Medeiros, Jr.

Mrs. Alicea is predeceased by her husband Mario Alicea.

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic occupancy limitations, visitors are asked to pay their respects in a timely fashion and exit in order to allow others the opportunity to enter the funeral home. Visitors are also required to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
