Louis DiPasquale
Beloved Family Man, 76
Mr. Louis DiPasquale, 76, of Bloomfield New Jersey, formerly of Belleville and Nutley, passed away on Saturday, November 6, 2021 surrounded by his loved ones. Visitation will be at the Biondi Funeral Home of Nutley, 540 Franklin Avenue on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Thursday, November 11, 2021 beginning at 8:15 a.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Church, 28 Brookline Avenue, Nutley, at 9:30 a.m. to be followed by the entombment at Gate of Heaven Chapel Mausoleum, 225 Ridgedale Avenue, East Hanover.
Louis was born in Newark, New Jersey and resided in Belleville and Nutley before moving to Bloomfield in 1985, where he and his wife Judy created a loving home for their children and family. Lou attended Monmouth University in West Long Branch where he played on the Men’s Baseball Team and earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Business. He went on to earn his Masters of Business Administration in Accounting from Rutgers University in Newark, New Jersey. Louis also proudly served in the Army National Guard before beginning his distinguished career, including working as an accountant at Ernest & Whinney. Lou worked for the New York Times in its New York City office for 20 years before retiring as an Internal IT Audit Manager. Louis was a dedicated employee, who obtained numerous certifications as part of his continuing education and was a member and leader of various professional associations.
Lou was known for his boundless love of his family, his sense of humor, his compassion and his willingness to always help others. Lou had many passions, including sports (especially skiing and baseball), photography, running (he was a proud member of the New York Times Running Club), traveling with his family and his endless holiday spirit, especially at Christmas.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years Judy (nee Dispenziere) DiPasquale; his devoted children, Melissa Durkin, Esq., and her husband Teddy, and Dr. Lauren DiPasquale-La Porta, and her husband, Robert; his sister, Marie DiPasquale; his dear brothers-in-law, Dr. Benjamin Dispenziere (Anita) and Thomas Dispenziere; his precious grandson Charles Louis Durkin; and many loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
