Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather and Brother, 71

Mr. Julio T. Valentin, 71, of Newark, NJ, passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral mass celebrated at St. Michael’s Church, 172 Broadway, Newark on Thursday, March 5 at 11:30 a.m.  The interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.  

Mr. Valentin was born in Maricao, Puerto Rico and resided in Newark, NJ for many years.  He was a Senior Mechanic for NJ Transit in Maplewood for 32 years before retiring in 2001. 

He is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years Mirna (nee Santiago) Valentin, his devoted children Julio Valentin, Jr. and his wife Bianca, and Cynthia Valentin and her husband Angel Nieves; and his cherished grandchildren Brandon, Elijah, Celeste, Mila and Dahlia.  He is also survived by his many loving brothers and sisters.
