Beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother
Josephine J. Benimeo, of Nutley passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, November 5, 2020 surrounded by her cherished family. Visitation will be at the Biondi Funeral Home, 540 Franklin Ave, Nutley on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. There will be a funeral mass celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 120 Prospect St, Nutley. Interment will be at Immaculate Conception, Montclair.
Josephine was born in Newark, and has resided in Nutley for the past sixty five years. She was a loving homemaker to her precious family. Josephine was a member of the Holy Family Church, Nutley, Rosary Society and also taught CCD there, she was also a Eucharistic Minister at Clara Maass Medical Center, Belleville.
Josephine is survived by her children Maria Silva and her husband Reńe, Mario Benimeo and his wife Brenda, Gina Biglin and her husband Tom and Nancy Merkle and her husband Kevin; her nine loving grandchildren; her cherished great granddaughter; her dear sister-in-law, Lucy Sanzalone; and her caring brother-in-law, Vincent Andriola. She is also survived by her many loving nieces and nephews.
Josephine is predeceased by her beloved husband, Frank Benimeo; her cherished parents Nicholas and Maria (nee Di Donato) Solimo, her three dear brothers, and her two precious sisters.
In Lieu of flowers donations in her memory can be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Association of America would be appreciated.

Due to COVID-19 Pandemic and occupancy limitations, visitors are asked to pay their respects and then immediately exit in order to allow others the opportunity to enter the building. Visitors are also required to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
