Beloved Uncle and Friend, 103
Mr. Joseph Soriano, 103, of Nutley, NJ, passed away on Saturday, June 19, 2021. Visitation will be at the Biondi Funeral Home of Nutley, 540 Franklin Avenue on Thursday, June 24 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The funeral will be conducted on Friday, June 25 at 8:30 a.m. There will be a funeral mass celebrated at Holy Family Church, 28 Brookline Avenue, Nutley at 9:30 a.m. The entombment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington with military honors.
Mr. Soriano was born in Newark, NJ and resided in Nutley since 1968. He was employed as a Production Machinist for Rexon Technology, Fairfield for 20 years before retiring in 1986. Previously, he was a supervisor for Lovell-Dressel, Kearny, for 30 years. He was also Unit Vice President of the United Auto Workers, Local #260, in Fairfield. His favorite pastimes included fishing and electronic repairs. Mr. Soriano served his country proudly in the United States Navy during World War II.
He is survived by his family of close neighbors, friends, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
Mr. Soriano is predeceased by his wife Maria “Fanny” (nee Mazza) Soriano (2010), his parents Cataldo and Antonina (nee Stango) Soriano, and his brothers Angelo, Nunzio, Charles, and Peter Soriano.
