Mr. John J. Del Russo, 85, of Belleville, passed away on Friday, August 4, 2023 at Clara Maass Medical Center, Belleville. surrounded by his loving family. Visitation will be at the Biondi Funeral Home of Nutley, 540 Franklin Avenue on Tuesday, August 8 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  The funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Wednesday, August 9 at 8:30 a.m. There will be a funeral mass celebrated at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 60 Byrd Avenue, Bloomfield on Wednesday August 9 at 10:00am. The interment will be at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, 712 Grove Street, Montclair.

Mr. Del Russo was born in Newark and was a lifelong resident of Belleville. He was a proud graduated Belleville High School, class of 1959. He was a truck driver for Newark News Dealers, Newark for many years until his retirement in 1992. John was a member of the Bloomfield Elks and enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is survived by his loving children Jerrilyn Matos and her husband Chris Robinson, John Del Russo II and his wife Tracey his precious grandchildren Jo Lynn, Aubrie, Johnny and Sienna; his loving brother Richard Del Russo and his wife JoAnn, he is also survived by his many loving nieces and nephews. 

Mr. Del Russo is predeceased by his beloved wife Josephine “Joy” (nee Petrillo) Del Russo (2015); his parents John and Antoinette (nee Leva) Del Russo and also his sisters and brothers-in-law Ann “Bubbles” Perrotto and her husband Joe, and Angie Goertz and her husband Tom.
