Beloved Wife and Sister, 68

Mrs. Johanna (nee Allora) Raio, 68, of Ocean Township, NJ, passed away on Monday, March 12, 2018 at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune.   The funeral will be conducted from the Biondi Funeral Home of Nutley, 540 Franklin Avenue on Friday, March 16 at 9:15 a.m. There will be a Funeral Mass celebrated at St. Lucy's Church, Newark at 10:45 a.m. The interment will be at Glendale Cemetery, Bloomfield.   Visitation will be on Thursday, March 15 from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m.    

Mrs. Raio was born in Newark and moved to Ocean Township 25 years ago.  She was a the owner of Raio Salon and Spa, Oakhurst.  She also was a Farouk Systems Chi Educator.  Mrs. Raio was former hairdresser to Miss America and Miss New Jersey Teen in Atlantic City.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 25 years Salvatore Raio; her loving siblings Gerald Allora, Angela Allora, Michele La Scala and her husband Dennis, and Lee Ann Zoppi and her husband Alan; and her loving sisters-in-law Rae Ann Allora and Rosemarie De Lorenzo.  She is also survived by her many loving nieces and nephews.
