Beloved Mother and Grandmother, 80

Mrs. Jo-Ann M. (nee Junge) Murray, 80, of Nutley, NJ, passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2020 at her home.  Visitation will be at the Biondi Funeral Home of Nutley, 540 Franklin Avenue on Thursday, July 9 from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.  There will be funeral mass celebrated at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Bloomfield on Friday, July 10 at 10:00 a.m.  The cremation will be held privately.  

Jo-Ann was born in Nyack, NY and resided in Nutley for the past 53 years.  She earned her nursing degree from Holy Name Hospital School of Nursing in Teaneck.  Jo-Ann was a Registered Nurse at Clara Maass Medical Center, Belleville, Columbus Hospital, Newark, and for the Township of Nutley for many years before retiring.  She loved being with her grandchildren, enjoyed her coffee, gardening, reading, her cats, and being the family’s travel agent.

Jo-Ann is  survived by her beloved children Robert J. Murray and his wife Caroline, Maureen Terranova and her husband Will, Patricia Murray, Jeanne Cotton and her husband Brant, and Kathleen Murray; her cherished grandchildren Carolyn Murray, Rita J. Murray, Shawn Murray and Katharine Cotton; and her former husband James F. Murray and his companion Mary Bennett.  She is also survived by her many loving nieces and nephews.

Jo-Ann is predeceased by her parents Louis F. and Josephine (nee Watters) Junge, and her brother Louis T. Junge.
