Beloved Wife, Sister and Aunt, 66

Mrs. Janice McManus-Genevrino, 66, of Clark, NJ, passed away peacefully at her home after a lengthy illness on Thursday, February 28, 2024 with her husband Michael at her side.  Visitation will be at the Biondi Funeral Home of Nutley, 540 Franklin Avenue on Sunday, March 10 from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.  The funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Monday, March 11 at 9:45 a.m.  There will be a funeral mass celebrated at St. Lucy’s Church, 118 – 7th Avenue, Newark at 11:00 a.m. The interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, 340 Ridge Road, North Arlington.

Born in Middle Village Queens to the late Ann (nee Morales) and Thomas McManus, she moved to New Jersey in 1999.  Janice received her degree in merchandising from the Fashion Institute of Technology and was the dedicated assistant to the Chairman of MShanken Communications in New York City, publisher of Wine Spectator and Cigar Aficionado Magazines, for almost 30 years. Fashion forward, with an eye for eclectic interior design and with a great love of fine food and wine, she was happiest among family and friends with a glass of wine swirling in her hand.

Janice is survived by her beloved husband of 25 years, Michael Genevrino; her loving sisters Dr. Mary McManus and her husband Michael Kornspun, Lorraine McManus White and her husband Dennis, Elizabeth Asaro and her husband Tony, and Karen Espada and her husband Louie.  She is also survived by her many loving nieces, nephews, cherished cousins, and fiercely loyal friends.
