Janet Farruggia

Beloved wife, cherished mother, grandmother Janet E. Farruggia of Nutley, NJ, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 25 at West Caldwell Care Center, Caldwell, NJ.

Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Friday, June 30, from 4:00pm to 8:00 pm at Biondi Funeral Home, 540 Franklin Avenue, Nutley, NJ. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, July 1 at 9:30 am at Holy Family Church, 28 Brookline Avenue, Nutley, NJ.

Janet was born and raised in Newark, NJ. She was the daughter of Dorothy and Frank. Janet worked at Engelhorn and Sons, Newark where she met her late husband, Julius who she shared almost 50 years of marriage. Janet and Julius moved from Belleville to Nutley in 1965 where they raised their four children.

Janet is survived by her beloved children Juliane (Juli), Salvatore (Sal, Butch), Matthew John and Dorothy (Dotty); grandson Sal Jr., grandfurhound Neko and her loving brother Frank Ulrich and his wife Lucy. She is predeceased by her husband Julius, grandson Nicholas, her mother Dorothy and father Frank, grandfurhounds Holly, Manny, Uncle, the Jack’s and her many cats.

Janet had many friends and enjoyed her time celebrating the Lord at Holy Family Church. She enjoyed her books, birds (especially cardinals and robins), garden flowers and good times at the beach.
