Beloved Wife, Mother, and Sister, 61

Mrs. Janet (nee Viviani) Drappi, 61 of Nutley, NJ, formerly of Belleville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 18, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.  Visitation will be at the Biondi Funeral Home of Nutley, 540 Franklin Avenue on Thursday, February 23, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Friday, February 24 at 8:45 a.m.  A funeral mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Church, 28 Brookline Avenue, Nutley at 10:30 a.m.  The Entombment will be at Glendale Cemetery Chapel Mausoleum, 28 Hoover Avenue, Bloomfield.

Janet was born in Newark, NJ, and resided in Belleville, before moving to Nutley 9 years ago.  She was employed by Verizon in Montclair as data base manager for 33 years before retiring a few years ago.  Janet will be remembered most for her devotion to her family, her great sense of humor, her big heart, and her contagious laughter.  Her presence brightened up a room.  She loved animals especially her precious cats, Diamond and Pearl.  Janet’s greatest enjoyment was traveling and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her adoring husband of 26 years, Frank Drappi; her daughter Jamie who was her world, and her two stepsons; Steven and Danny Drappi.  She is also survived by her sisters Donna Viviani, Dori Puglisi and her husband Robert, Diane Morgan and her husband John, Arlene Cugliari and her husband Sal, and also her many loving nieces, nephews, friends and relatives.

She is predeceased by her parents Dominic and Mary Viviani and her sister Brenda Viviani.
