 Beloved Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother, 101

Mrs. Gloria (nee Ruela) Da Silva, 101, of Inverness, FL, formerly of the Ironbound Section of Newark, NJ, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 29, 2020.  Due to the current health crisis, private funeral services will be held with an interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. A memorial service will be celebrated at a later date.

Mrs. Da Silva was born in Murtosa, Portugal, and immigrated to the Ironbound Section of Newark, before moving to Inverness, FL 13 years ago.  She was a loving homemaker to her family and an avid animal lover.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Maria Pataca and her husband Antonio (Inverness, FL) and her beloved son, Joseph Da Silva and his wife Andrea (Cranford, NJ);  her five cherished grandsons and her three precious great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her sons Antonio Da Silva (1984) and Celestino Da Silva (1990).
