Beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother, 89

Mrs. Gloria G. (nee Sakelakos) Alfano, 89, of Belleville, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Visitation will be at the Biondi Funeral Home of Nutley, 540 Franklin Avenue on Thursday, August 5 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.  There will be a funeral service celebrated at the funeral home on Friday, August 6 at 10:30 a.m.  The interment will be at Glendale Cemetery, Bloomfield.

Mrs. Alfano was born in Newark, NJ and resided in Belleville for over 60 years.  She was employed by the Township of Nutley as a School Bus Driver for 28 years before retiring at the age of 75. 

She is survived by her beloved children James Alfano and his wife Margherita, and Amy Hamlisch and her husband Jody; her cherished grandchildren Jason, Anthony Matthew and Frank Alfano, and Joe Hamlisch; and also her precious great-grandchildren, Sophia, John, Marlowe, August, Dylan, Adriana and Francesca Alfano.

Mrs. Alfano is predeceased by her husband John Alfano (1991).
