Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great-Grandfather, 86
Mr. Frank P. De Gennaro, 86, of Bloomfield, peacefully passed away on January 3, 2022, at Morristown Memorial Hospital, Morristown. Visitation will be at the Biondi Funeral Home of Nutley, 540 Franklin Avenue on Thursday, January 6 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Friday, January 7 at 8:30 a.m. There will be a funeral mass celebrated at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 60 Byrd Avenue, Bloomfield at 9:30 a.m. The entombment will at Gate of Heaven Chapel Mausoleum, 225 Ridgedale Ave, East Hanover.
Mr. De Gennaro was born in Orange, NJ and resided in Bloomfield since 1966. Frank proudly served in the New Jersey National Guard for eight years as an Intelligence Analyst and went on to spend over forty-five years as a leader in the Information Technology Field. For the past twenty years he was employed as an Information Technology Manager for the New York Police Department before retiring at the age of seventy. He enjoyed the outdoors, the Jersey Shore and Atlantic City, but most of all, he loved spending time with his family. His pride and joy were his five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was always seen cheering them on at their sports events, he loved taking them all to get lemon ice or “buns’ on Sunday mornings, and was always there to instill his values and wisdom.
Mr. De Gennaro is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years Phyllis (nee Paul) De Gennaro; his two loving children Cheryl Osetto and her husband Anthony and Greg De Gennaro and his wife Corinne; his cherished grandchildren Danine, Michael, AJ, Frank Paul and Lexi; he is also the proud Great-Grandfather of Jake, Cooper, Luca, Anastasia and Colton.
Mr. De Gennaro is predeceased by his parents Thomas and Rose (nee Dezao) De Gennaro.
