Beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great-grandmother and Sister, 85


Felichinia (nee Macchiello) De Lorenzo, 85, of Belleville, NJ, passed away on Monday, September 7, 2020 at the Mountainside Hospital, Glen Ridge.  Visitation will be at the Biondi Funeral Home of Nutley on Thursday, September 10 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. There will be a funeral mass celebrated at Holy Family Church, 28 Brookline Ave, Nutley on Friday, September 11 at 9:30 a. m. The entombment will be at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, North Arlington.


Phyllis was born in Newark and resided in Belleville for 56 years.  She worked as Quality Control Supervisor at Becton-Dickinson Pharmaceuticals for 15 years before retiring at age 62.


She is survived by her beloved children Sam De Lorenzo and his wife Terri, Virginia Carnovale and her husband Sal and Frank De Lorenzo; her dear brother and sister Philip Macchiello and Anna Capozzi; her loving grandchildren Sammy Jr., Michael, Danielle, Carrie Ann, Frankie, Michelle and Anthony and also her cherished great-grandchildren Martino, Dominic, Mya, Ava, Olivia, Harper and Sebastian III.


Phyllis is predeceased by her parents Gennarro and Carmella (nee Divincenzo) Macchiello and her 5 sisters.


In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory to St. Lucy’s Church, National Shrine of St. Gerard, 118 Seventh Ave, Newark, NJ 07104 would be greatly appreciated.
