Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother, 81

Mrs. Ernestine (nee Engel) Serritella, 81, of Nutley, NJ, passed away on Sunday, June 6, 2021 at Mountainside Hospital, Glen Ridge. There will be a Memorial Visitation at the Biondi Funeral Home of Nutley, 540 Franklin Avenue on Tuesday, June 29 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.  

Mrs. Serritella was born in Jersey City, NJ and resided in Nutley since 1963.  She was a loving homemaker to her family.  Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her beautiful family.  Ernestine and her husband Joseph would have celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary on June 29, 2021. 

She is survived by her beloved husband Joseph Serritella; her devoted children Betsy Depuy and her husband Chris, Julie Serritella and her partner Mary Darragh, Jed Serritella and his wife Milena, and Joan Lockwood and her husband Kelly; her 15 cherished grandchildren and nine precious great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by her many loving cousins, nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Serritella is predeceased by her parents Albert and Marie (nee Bates) Engel, her step-father Luther Justice, and her brother Conrad Engel.
