Elisa D’Elia

Beloved Mother, Daughter, Sister and Grandmother, 59

 

Elisa D’Elia (G’ma), 59, of Jacksonville, FL, formerly of the Ironbound Section of Newark, passed away on Monday, May 11, 2020.  Due to the current health crisis, private funeral services will be held with an interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. A memorial service will be celebrated at a later date.

 

Elisa was born in Newark, NJ, and resided in the Ironbound section of Newark before retiring to Jacksonville, FL.  She was a Girl Scout troop leader for over 15 years, and also volunteered in wrestling and football booster clubs for Kearny High School.   She loved cooking, oldies music, and traveling .

 

She is survived by her beloved childen Jessica Baez-Cunha, Andrea Berroa and her husband James, Luis A. Perez, Jr. and his wife Jennifer, and Andrew Perez and his wife Jennipher; her devoted mother Dolores (nee Melando) D’Elia; her loving siblings Concetta Jane Santumo, JoEllen Popola,  and David D’Elia; and her eight cherished grandchildren Gulianna Perez, Matthew Berroa, Jonathan Cuhna, Sebastian Perez, Arya Berroa, Mia Perez, Valentina Perez, & Bella Perez.  Elisa is also survived by her many loving nieces and nephews.

 

Elisa was predeceased by her brother Donald D’Elia.
