Beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother, 90
Mrs. Eleanor M. (nee Harter) Skirtun Barnes, 90, of Toms River, NJ, formerly of North Arlington, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at her home. Visitation will be at the Biondi Funeral Home of Nutley, 540 Franklin Avenue on Monday, June 22 from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Due to the current health regulations, visitation is limited to 50 visitors at one time. There will be a funeral service celebrated at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 23 at 10:00 a.m. The entombment will be Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, North Arlington.
Eleanor was born in Newark, NJ and resided in North Arlington for many years before moving to Toms River 21 years ago. She was a loving homemaker to her family.
She is survived by her beloved children Janet Griffin and William, Donna Williamson and her husband Marty, Michael Skirtun and his wife Barbara, Deborah Bellucci and Carmine D’Aloia, and Jacqueline Krystofik and her husband Ronald; her loving step-children; and her 17 cherished grandchildren and six precious great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her many loving nieces and nephews.
Eleanor is predeceased by her husband Charles Barnes; her son Victor Skirtun; her siblings William Harter, Robert Harter and Joyce McLaughlin; her grandson Scott Bellucci, and her stepson Charles Barnes.
