Beloved Mother and Grandmother, 91

Eileen M. (nee Keenan) Kossack, 91, of Bloomfield, NJ, passed away on Monday, May 11, 2020.  Due to the current health crisis, private funeral services will be held with an interment at Hollywood Memorial Park Cemetery, Union.  A memorial service will be celebrated at a later date.

Eileen was born in Newark, NJ, graduated from Our Lady of Good Council High School, Newark, and was a lifelong resident of Bloomfield, NJ.  She worked for Bell Telephone for over 10 years, and then North Jr. Middle School in Bloomfield for 30 years before retiring in 1995.  A devout Roman Catholic, she was a faithful parishioner of St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Bloomfield for 60 years.

She enjoyed trips to AC with her dear lifelong friends “the birthday club”.  Eileen lived and breathed for time spent with her precious family which was her greatest joy, especially her grandsons, who worshiped her and shared in her passion for sports.

She is survived by her beloved daughter Karen Ingrassia, her adoring son-in-law David Ingrassia; and her loving grandsons Joseph and Michael.

Eileen was predeceased by her beloved husband Paul R. Kossack (2013), and her loving son David M. Kossack (2003).

A woman of considerable strength, an energetic spirit for life, loved and respected by all who knew her, leaves behind an unforgettable presence.
