Beloved Husband, Father, Brother and Grandfather, 83

Mr. Efrain V. Viteri, 83, of Nutley, NJ, passed away on Friday, May 27, 2022 at Clara Maass Medical Center, Belleville. Visitation will be at the Biondi Funeral Home of Nutley, 540 Franklin Avenue on Thursday, June 2 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  The funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Friday, June 3 at 9:15 a.m.  There will be a funeral mass celebrated at Holy Family Church, 28 Brookline Avenue, Nutley, at 10:30 a.m.  The interment will be at Glendale Cemetery, 28 Hoover Avenue, Bloomfield.

Mr. Viteri was born in Quito, Ecuador and emigrated to New York City in 1963 before moving to Nutley 37 years ago.  He was employed by Enrite, Newark as a Laboratory Chemist for 25 years before retiring.  Mr. Viteri was a champion ping pong player in Quito, Ecuador.

Efrain and his wife Gladys (nee Granda) would have celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on July 27, 2022.

He is survived by his beloved wife Gladys Viteri; his devoted children Beatriz C. Viteri-Conca and her husband Jack, and Cindy Esa and her husband Louis; his loving sisters Alba Correa and Gladys E. Viteri; and his precious grandchildren Julian, Giselle and Cleo Esa.  He is also survived by his many loving nieces and nephews.

Efrain is predeceased by his son Fred V. Viteri (1989), and his brothers Victor Hugo Viteri, Galo Viteri and Richardo Viteri.
