Beloved Husband, Father, Brother, Uncle, and Friend, 76

Mr. Edward G. Dross, 76, of Nutley, NJ, passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2023.  There will be a funeral service celebrated at the Biondi Funeral Home of Nutley, 540 Franklin Avenue on Thursday, April 13th at 7:30 p.m.  Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until time of service.  The cremation will be held privately.  Following his cremation, he will rest eternally at the Columbarium of the Universidad del Sagrado Corazon in Santurce, Puerto Rico.

Edward was born in Passaic, NJ and resided in Nutley since 1980.  He graduated from Don Bosco Prep in Ramsey, and Seton Hall University in South Orange with a major in English.  Ed was employed as a District Manager for the Social Security Administration Office in Elizabeth, NJ for 35 years before retiring.  He served as a Eucharistic Minister at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Nutley for many years.   

God, we thank you for bringing Ed into our lives: for his love, his caring, his dignity, his immense courage and his wonderful sense of humor.  We give him back to You without complaint, but with broken hearts. We will always treasure the gift of Ed’s life.

He is survived by his loving family, his beloved wife of 41 years Margarita (nee Marxuach), his devoted son Mike, his siblings, TJ and Melanie. He is also survived by his nephew Kevin, his niece Karen and the many members of the Marxuach Ginorio family, too numerous to mention.

He is predeceased by his parents Edward Dross and Caroline (nee Ofiara) Dross, his sister; Martha Hecht and his sister-in-law Wanta Dross.
