Our mother was born and raised in New York City and has resided in Nutley since 2001. She worked thirty years for Metropolitan Life Insurance, working her way up after high school to Office Supervisor and eventually managing an entire branch office in Brooklyn. Her love for New York City was boundless as she navigated through New York City with such ease, enjoying the diversity in culture and department store shopping. Her passion for healthy eating, excellent taste in cuisine and special desserts such as Godiva Dark Chocolate, Chocolate ice-cream and chocolate cake and muffins were among her special treats. Later in life, she found joy and companionship with her pet dogs Lucky and Casper.
She is survived by her three daughters Margaret and her husband Edgar, Josephine, and Gloria; her five cherished grandchildren and their spouses, Steven and Lisa, Juan-Carlos and Jessica, Gina Edith-Marie and Jake, Laura-Marie, and Ralph (Ralphie). and her precious great-grandchildren Anthony, Matthew, Coco-Marie, Anabella, Siboney, Joaquin, and Rockwell.
Our family has lost our matriarch and best friend who handled herself with such grace and unbound love for family, life, travel and kindness towards all that knew her. Her loss will always be felt, but her strength and presence will forever live in our hearts and in every day of lives moving forward to honor her.
