 Beloved Partner, Mother, Daughter, Sister and Aunt, 52

Dina Marie DeAquino, 52, of Verona, NJ, formerly of Belleville, NJ passed away on Sunday, June 17, 2018.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 271 Roseland Avenue, Essex Fells on Thursday, June 21 at 10:30 a.m.  The cremation will be held privately.  Visitation will be at the Biondi Funeral Home of Nutley, 540 Franklin Avenue on Wednesday, June 20 from 4:00 –8:00 p.m.    

Dina was born in Orange, NJ and resided in Belleville before moving to Verona. 

She was a graduate of Belleville High School and was a standout athlete earning All-State Honors in Softball.  She later entered Montclair State University and continued her athletic career earning First Team All-American honors in both her Junior and Senior years.  She earned a degree in Physical Education and Administration and also Master Degrees in Physical Education and Administration from Montclair State University. 

After graduation she was a teacher and athletic director in Leonia, NJ, and was later Principal of #5 School in Belleville. Dina coached softball at Princeton University and William Paterson University.  She also coached professional softball during the 1980’s.  She was an avid N.Y. Yankees and NY Giants fan.  Dina loved to travel to countries in Europe, especially Spain, Portugal and Italy.

She is survived by her beloved life partner, Patty Coyle; her cherished son Jake Anthony DeAquino-Coyle; her devoted father Anthony DeAquino, Sr.; her loving siblings Anthony DeAquino, Jr. and his wife Isabel, Paul DeAquino and his wife Maria, and Laura DeAquino and her husband David Oglensky.  She is also survived by her loving nieces and nephews Nicholas, Joseph, Jennifer, Paulie, Ava and Ella.

Dina is predeceased by her mother Marie (nee Trindade) DeAquino. 

Dina will be missed by her loving family and many friends.
