Beloved Wife, Mother, Daughter, Sister and Aunt, 48

Mrs. Danielle (nee Strumolo) Santangelo, 48, of Nutley, passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at her home surrounded by her loving family after a 27 month battle with cancer.  We were in awe of her tremendous strength.  She had the heart of a true champion.  Visitation will be at the Biondi Funeral Home of Nutley, 540 Franklin Avenue on Friday, March 4 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.  The funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Saturday, March 5 at 10:15 a.m.  There will be a funeral mass celebrated at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 60 Byrd Avenue, Bloomfield at 11:30 a.m.  The cremation will be held privately.

Danielle was born in Newark, NJ and was a lifelong Nutley resident.  She was a 1991 graduate of Nutley High School.  Danielle was employed by Millenium Home Mortgage, Parsippany as a Loan Processer for the past 20 years.  She had a passion for cooking and often fed an army with her famous macaroni and meatballs on Sundays.  Danielle had so much pride watching her sons play a variety of different sports, and shopping and lounging with Gianna, her daughter and best friend.  She not only was a wife, mother, daughter, sister and aunt, but was the sparkle in all our lives.    

Danielle and her husband Andrew would have celebrated their 20th anniversary on April 5, 2022.

She is survived by her beloved husband Andrew Santangelo, Jr.; her cherished children Gianna Santangelo, and her twin sons Andrew and Gerald Santangelo; her devoted mother Marie Strumolo; her loving siblings Marie Mielnicki and her husband Billy, David Strumolo and his wife Lysandra, Mark Strumolo and his wife Suzy, Jeanine Riccio and her husband Bill, and Chris Strumolo and his wife Nicole; her dear father-in-law Andrew Santangelo, Sr., and her dear sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Lynda Strumolo, Dana Santangelo and Dominic Santangelo.  She is also survived by her 20 loving nieces and nephews.   

Danielle is predeceased by her father Gerald Strumolo, Sr. (1995), her brother Gerald Strumolo, Jr. (1999), and her mother-in-law Cynthia Santangelo (2017).
