Beloved Father, Grandfather, and Brother, 74
Mr. Charles L. DeLorenzi, 74, of Nutley, NJ, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 27, 2023. Visitation will be at the Biondi Funeral Home of Nutley, 540 Franklin Avenue, on Tuesday, September 5, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Wednesday, September 6 at 9:30 a.m. There will be a funeral mass celebrated at Holy Family Church, 28 Brookline Avenue, Nutley at 10:30 a.m. The entombment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery Chapel Mausoleum, 340 Ridge Road, North Arlington with military honors.
Charles was born in Newark, NJ and resided in Nutley for over 40 years. He was a graduate of Bloomfield Tech. Charles was employed by Hoffman LaRoche in Nutley as an Electrical and Fire Alarm Technician for three decades, retiring in 2013. He served honorably in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. Charles was a member of the Nutley Elks Lodge #1290 for 30 years and served as a Past-Exalted Ruler from 1999-2000. He was also a member of Nutley Unico, the Nutley VFW Post #493 and the Nutley American Legion Post #70.
He is survived by his beloved son Raymond DeLorenzi and his wife Arianna; his cherished grandchildren Leo and Ethan; and his loving brothers John DeLorenzi and his wife Luciana, and Ben DeLorenzi and his wife Liz.
Charles is predeceased by his beloved wife of 46 years Marie (nee DeMartino) DeLorenzi (July 29, 2023), his son Gregory DeLorenzi (2015), and his parents Benjamin and Theresa (nee Ponzoni) DeLorenzi. his brother Joseph DeLorenzi, and his sister Annie Letow and her husband Jerry.
