Anthony Baldino

May 14, 1936 ~ January 5, 2021 (age 84)

Anthony Baldino

Beloved Husband, Father and Grandfather, 84

Mr. Anthony Baldino, 84, passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at Lee Memorial Health Center, Ft. Myers, FL. Visitation will be at the Biondi funeral Home of Nutley, 540 Franklin Avenue, on Friday, March 12 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.  The funeral service and entombment will be held privately.

Anthony was born in Passaic, NJ and grew up in Nutley.  He was an athlete (basketball) who graduated from Nutley High School in 1954, after which he served proudly in the United States Army, for two years. Starting at age 22, he worked in the brick and building supply business, ultimately becoming sole proprietor of United Clay Products, based in Nutley.

In 2007, he sold his business to Extech Building Supply and he continued to work with this company until his passing.  Anthony valued and promoted honesty, reliability, and excellent customer service, serving as a mentor and role model to young professionals in this regard. He was known for following every lead and treating every contact at all levels with respect and care.  His connections in the business included three generations within some of the industry families and he became known as “Tony Bricks.”

Anthony enjoyed the game of golf and excelled at it as a member of both the Glen Ridge Country Club in New Jersey, and Beachview on Sanibel Island, FL.  He was a winner of many championships and several titles, well into the latter stages of his career.  Shortly before his 84th birthday, Tony celebrated a hole-in-one, his fourth career ace, on the Florida course.

With his family, Anthony lived in Montclair, Essex Fells, and then Tewksbury, NJ.  More recently, he and Roberta lived in Sanibel/Fort Myers, FL and maintained a home in Little Falls, NJ.

Anthony was a dedicated, caring and generous husband and father.  He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years Roberta (nee Frank) Baldino; his devoted children Beth Baldino, Michael Baldino and his wife Cynthia; and his cherished grandchildren Will Feehan, Caroline Feehan, Matthew Baldino, Samuel Baldino, and Lilyann Baldino.  He is predeceased by his son, Patrick Baldino, and his parents Pasquale and Carmella (nee Sensale) Baldino.

Anthony may be most remembered for is his outgoing and warm personality. He had many beloved, life-long friends, but if you crossed paths with him even for a short time, it is likely he knew your name and something about your story.  He will be missed by the many friends, colleagues, and family who treasured him deeply.
