Beloved Mother, Grandmother and Sister, 88
Annunziata (nee Violante) Olivieri, 88, of Bloomfield, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, August 24, 2020. Immediate family visitation will be at the Biondi Funeral Home of Nutley, 540 Franklin Ave., on Friday August 28 from 10:30 a.m to 11:45 a.m. Friends are invited to attend the funeral mass at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 63 Franklin St., Belleville on Friday August 28 at 12:30 p.m. The entombment will be at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, North Arlington.
Annunziata was born in Forino, Avalino, Italy, on July 12, 1932, to Luigi and Guiseppina Violante and emigrated to North Newark to raise her family with her husband Domenico and her two oldest sons Nicola and Vincenzo in 1966 before moving to Bloomfield. She worked as a seamstress for many years in the North Newark area before retiring. Annunziata was a member of the Rosary Society at St. Anthony of Padua Church, Belleville, where she was a faithful parishioner. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed cooking the food she grew.
Annunziata is survived by her loving sons Nicola and his wife Janet, Vincenzo, Carmine and his wife Pattiann, and Luigi and his wife Maria; also her cherished grandchildren Anthony, Alicia, CaraMia and Tess and her dear brother Ciro Violante and her dear sister Vincenza Fruncillo. A sweet and kind lady, she will be missed by all who knew her.
Annunziata is predeceased by her beloved husband Domenico in 2013, her brothers Domenico and Antonio, and her dear sister, Elena DeBiase.
